Tony Mitchell

Tony Mitchell has served in leadership roles including President, COO, CFO, and CIO of several corporations. Today, he applies these experiences as Chief Operations Officer for the Christian Alliance for Orphans.
After being placed in foster care as newborn, Tony lived in the foster care system for two years before being adopted by a caring family. Raised in a loving but impoverished home, he became the first and only person in his family to attend and graduate from college, with honors. He went on to navigate a successful 30-year business career serving at corporations ranging from $2 million to $2 billion in revenue in industries including, public accounting, technology, investment, outsourced services, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Tony has served as a nonprofit board member, an independent corporate board member, a national speaker, and a strategic advisor — using his considerable experience to help organizations and leaders build stronger organizations and foster more purposeful leadership.
As a speaker, Tony has appeared at business conferences, executive panels, and faith-based events. He and his wife, Venita, serve as speakers at FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember® marriage conferences. Venita has worked in both public and private accounting, served as Women’s Ministries Director, and is a board member, speaker, and mentor. Tony and Venita have two adult children and reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
