Instructor: David Hennessey, Director for Global Movements, CAFO
Course Start: Upon Registration
Course Length: 5 weeks
The Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) has researched orphan care networks from around the world to identify a common framework for emerging networks. Developed over the last few years, with input from over 100 leaders from over 30 nations, this framework represents general concepts to consider while developing a successful adoption, fostering and orphan care network.
This CAFO Network Framework course is intended to be used by a team of network leaders to guide their discussions as they meet regularly to develop the ministry plan for their network. CAFO suggests conducting facilitated workshops to pray together and define the strategies their network will implement to complete the framework. The framework does not define how to accomplish the goals; rather, the framework defines key characteristics of a network that should be considered, allowing the local leadership to define culturally appropriate implementations of each characteristic.
*This course will require approximately two hours per week to complete. New lessons will become available every few days, and you will receive an email notification when a new lesson is available. Elements of online self-paced study are included, which will include reading online pages, watching online video, and downloading documents to read offline. An interactive class discussion forum will be facilitated by the instructor, and each student is expected to participate in the discussions.
